Looking Back: London Ethnic, LFW ‘Designer Showcase and Reception’
On the 16th of February 2017, we were proud and grateful to have sponsored London Ethnic who celebrated the opening season of London Fashion Week 2017 at the Houses of Parliament, Terrace Pavilion inside the Westminster palace. London Ethnic organised an exclusive “Designer Showcase and Reception” showing the essence of London through emerging UK- based designers…
London Ethnic are a fashion house that works with upcoming UK- based designers who construct their collections within the United Kingdom and are pushed and inspired by the ethical and sustainable principles of fashion. What they do as a fashion house is boost the emerging designers out into the fashion industry in many different ways.
For 5 years, they have been hosting designer showcases for the official schedule of London Fashion Week and this event was an introduction kick start fashion week with new designs. London Ethnic organised this event not only to showcase designs but to also give their guests an enjoyable evening and communicate and socialise with people. Also to experience British culture in the most iconic building in London – the Houses of Parliament.
Emerging designers Stephanie Diaso, Karen Gold and PoloSophia were able to showcase their beautiful designs in such a way that guests were given a taste of London culture and fashion. In addition to being a unique opportunity for talented fashion designers, the event spotlighted the finest in up and coming looks.
After the event, London Ethnic provided goody bags filled with delicious snacks and beauty products by other sponsors such as latest in beauty, Kite and Bites, pip&nut etc. They were also able to work with Captial FM’s charity, Global’s ‘Make Some Noise’ who raise awareness for less fortunate children and this was a great way to build awareness through the fashion industry.
HandyFlowers provided a flower wall, and guests seemed to take some wonderful pictures using it as a lovely back drop. The event was also broadcasted live on Lyca Radio.
